We have become a junk food society and are surprised by the rise in obesity, diabetes and cancer. Eating well and exercising does not guarantee good health, but, eating badly and not exercising does pretty much lead to body break downs.
Let’s treat our bodies well as part of our spiritual practice. It’s difficult to have a peaceful mind with a body who’s chemistry is all over the place. It’s difficult to have a restful heart, if we’re filling ourselves with caffeine to make up for our lack of sleep.
Take care of your body. It’s the only place you have to live.
